ABOUT THIS EXHIBIT
Joan Miró (1893–1983) was a Catalan artist whose paintings,
sculptures, prints and ceramics developed a distinctive language
of signs, figures, stars and biomorphic forms. His work crossed
boundaries between Surrealism, abstraction and personal symbolism.
This exhibit gathers Smithsonian material connected to Miró.
