ABOUT THIS EXHIBIT
Pablo Picasso (1881–1973) worked across painting, sculpture,
drawing, printmaking, ceramics and other media and became one
of the central figures of twentieth-century modern art.
His career moved through dramatically different visual languages,
including the Blue and Rose periods and the development of Cubism.
This exhibit gathers Smithsonian material connected to Picasso,
his work, exhibitions, publications and historical record.
