ABOUT THIS EXHIBIT
Auguste Rodin (1840–1917) transformed modern sculpture through
expressive surfaces, fragmented forms and intense studies of the
human body. His work helped move sculpture away from academic
conventions toward a more experimental modern language.
This exhibit gathers Smithsonian material connected to Rodin.
